Setu: Center for social knowledge and action has produced a series of calendars on the theme of `Synthesis and Continuity'. These calendars focus on the issue of multiculturalism and communal harmony as expressed through the cultural heritage of Gujarat. Until now, six calendars have been published on the following topics: Nagar darwaja (City Gates) in 1994, Jali (Pierced screens) in 1995, Jal Samridddhi (Lakes and Ponds) in 1996, Chabutara (Bird feeders) in 1997, Vahanvatu (Maritime tradition) in 1998, Jharokha (Balcony) in 1999 and Lokvadya (Musical Instruments) in 2000. In each calendar, accompanying the images, are couplets on the theme of "oneness" by saint poets belonging to different religions and sects of Gujarat.
